"My artistic process has always been connected with exploring the painting medium through the continuous intertwining of creation and destruction, appearance and disappearance.
I am interested in the ways and means with which we build and destroy civilisation, and then reconstruct it in traces of corrosive material with a different perspective and the same admiration. The materials and techniques I use are charcoal, dry pigments, acrylic paints, shellac, bitumen, varnishes and canvas. In practical and civilisational terms, these materials provide us with energy, enable us to express ourselves, protect us from the elements and contaminate us at the same time."
